Born in London on January 14th 1986, Charlie Siem is a classic contemporary violinist. He began playing the violin at 3 years old and was trained by renowned tutors such as Ithzak Rashkovsky or Shlomo Mintz at the Guildhall School of Music and the Royal College of Music of London.
He gave his first concerto with orchestra at 15 years old and played with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at 18 years old. Charlie Siem plays on the "d'Egville" – a Guarnerius del Gesù violin from 1735 that belonged to Yehudi Menuhin, considered as one of the best 20th century violinist. He has played with some of the most renowned orchestras of the world.
More than just being an expert in his domain, Charlie Siem is also working for the fashion industry. Brands mix fashion and music to create campaign that matches his universe.
In the last few years, he gained more notoriety by catching the attention of international personalities like Miley Cyrus, The Who, Lady Gaga or Katy Perry.
In 2011 he became the face of several campaigns for brands like Dunhill London, Armani or Dior and Jason Wu chose him to be the face of following Hugo Boss campaign.
But music is his true passion. Charlie Siem has this deep, mysterious charm that arouses curiosity. He has this classy british thing, his manners are flawless. He is both fascinated and fascinating. And this is exactly the music that gives him that kind of profundity.
He then appeared in a wide range of magazines like Vogue, L'Officiel Hommes, GQ… modelling for brands such as Gucci, Armani or H&M. He was also featured in "La Petite Veste Noire" – the Chanel's classic – revisited by Carine Roitfeld and Karl Lagerfeld.
In 2014, he released the album "Under The Stars" produced by Sony Music and available all over United Kingdom and Germany.
